Diego situation

Posted by blogdecor On August - 19 - 2010

Diego has decided to leave Juventus and join Wolfsburg for a deal of a €16 million. Dieter Hoeness from Wolfsburg and Giuseppe Marotta, sporting director of Juventus had meeting on Monday at Galileo Ferraris which was believed to be regarding Edin Dzeko.

But later reports said that the meeting was held to discuss about the transfer of the Brazilian player and which turned out to be real. Zvjezdan Misimovic, who moved out from Wolfsburg has made the team to search for a new player and Steve McClaren Wolfsburg’s coach thinks Diego can make a perfect attacking midfielder.

Diego never looked comfortable after leaving Werder Bremen and joining Juventus for fee of €25.5m in 2009. So, Juventus have decide to sell the player and use that money to get a new striker and left back which is expected to be Michel Bastos from Olympique Lyonnais.

But, today, general manager of Wolfsburg said: “We broke the negotiations because they were incredible – one day they want to sell him, after that they won’t. Now I can say for sure, he will not join us.” Coach of Juve also confirmed this (we published this too today).

* Agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic said that “Ibracadabra” will not leave Barca for ACM on loan.
