The Argentine attacker has hinted at a transfer and our readers would prefer to see him move to the Bundesliga

Bayern Munich would be the ideal destination for Lionel Messi if he were to leave Barcelona at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, Goal readers feel.

The Argentina international hinted earlier this week that he could leave the Camp Nou side at some point in the future and he is ready to look at incoming offers if his situation at Barca doesn’t change.

Messi’s comments have led to speculation about his future and Goal readers feel a reunion with Pep Guardiola would be the best option for the 27-year-old, with 2762 readers out of 15417 voting for a move to the Bundesliga champions (17.9 per cent).

Manchester United come second in the vote with 2694 votes, while Manchester City are the third-best option in the eyes of Goal readers with 1922 votes.

Spanish rivals Real Madrid would be the perfect next club for 12.1% of our readers, with a move to Chelsea coming in as the fifth most-popular (10.8%) option ahead of a return to his boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys (1661 votes).

Only 9.6% of Goal readers support a move to Paris Saint-Germain, while an additional 8.9% feels neither of the aforementioned clubs would be the right move if Messi leaves Barcelona.
