The 21-year-old has revealed he would love to one day swap Ligue 1 football for a chance to play for the Catalans

Lyon attacking midfield star Nabil Fekir has revealed it is his dream to play for Barcelona in the future.

The 21-year-old has been terrific for the Stade de Gerland club this season, scoring 13 goals in Ligue 1 as Hubert Fournier’s men battled Paris Saint-Germain for the title until the final month of the season.

His performances have seen him strongly linked with an end-of-season switch to Inter, but he admitted a move to the Catalans would be his preferred choice.

“Since my childhood, it has been my dream to play for Barcelona,” he told Lyonnais a 20 Minutes.

“If I’m lucky enough to play for them one day, it would just be the most wonderful outcome.”

Fekir was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year this month to cap off a campaign that also saw him make his debut for the national team back in March.
