RUMOURS: Man Utd set for Lindelof talks

Representatives are said to be meeting in Manchester ahead of a proposed €45 million move for the 22-year-old Sweden international

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is expected to travel to Manchester on Monday to meet with Manchester United officials and start proceedings ahead of a transfer for defender Victor Lindelof, according to O Jogo.

Jose Mourinho has marked the centre-half as his number one target in the January transfer window and the Portuguese side are said to be willing to let him leave for around €45 million.

Lindelof, a 22-year-old Sweden international, is also able to operate from right-back and has started in 13 of Benfica’s 14 Primeira Liga games, and all six of their European fixtures.
