The Swedish forward will be handed the chance to become a coach at the club to deter him from leaving at the end of the current season

Manchester United are set to offer a coaching position to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in order to keep him at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Star.

The 35-year-old is on a short-term deal with the Red Devils, and Jose Mourinho will try to entice him to stay by appointing him as a player-coach.

Since moving to United in the summer, Ibrahimovic has scored 11 Premier League goals – more than double any other player at the club.

He has been linked with a move away from the Premier League, but a coaching position may help change his mind about leaving Old Trafford.
