Liverpool may be interested in the Denmark international, but Leicester’s boss has made it clear that his goalkeeper is going nowhere

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri insists there is no chance the club will sell Kasper Schmeichel, despite the goalkeeper being linked to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side, sitting second in the Premier League, have been linked with a move for a shot-stopper in January, with Joe Hart reportedly among their targets.

Ranieri: We are fearless Foxes

Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have both come under fire this season, and Liverpool have conceded 21 league goals – the most of any of the teams in the top six.

But Ranieri has no plans of selling Schmeichel, who is contracted until mid-2021.

“Kasper has a signature on the contract,” the Italian said.

“We won’t sell Kasper under any circumstances. We don’t need money. No chance.

Barry: Leicester have lost fear factor

“I’m sorry for Liverpool, they can win the title without Kasper.”

Ranieri’s side, champions last season, are 16th in the table ahead of hosting West Ham on Saturday.
