The Shannonsiders have added a touch of Samba flair to their roster ahead of the new campaign with the signing of the Brazilian forward

Limerick have completed the signing of Brazilian striker Rodrigo Tosi ahead of the 2017 season.

The 34-year-old joins the League of Ireland Premier Division side from Indonesian outfit Persija Jakarta.

Tosi brings a wealth of experience with him to Markets Field, having played across the globe with clubs in Brazil, Switzerland, Greece and Iran.

He counts Brunei DPMM among his former clubs and played for the club alongside current Limerick coach Joe Gamble in 2014.

Memphis impresses on Lyon debut

The announcement of Tosi’s arrival follows the capture of highly rated forward Chiedozie Ogbene from Munster rivals Cork City.

Limerick begin the 2017 season on Saturday, February 25 at home to Sligo Rovers.
