West Ham starlet Reece Oxford has left the Hammers and moved to Championship side Reading on loan for the rest of the season.

The youngster has been linked with a move to several top clubs in the past after becoming West Ham’s youngest ever player when he made his debut at just 16 years and 198 days.

However, the 18-year-old committed his future to the Hammers by signing a new four-and-a-half-year deal at the club back in December, which has dampened speculation.
Oxford has made just two appearances for West Ham this season, both in the Europa League, and will now spend the rest of the season with Jaap Stam’s side in search of regular football.
The Royals are currently third in the Championship table, six points behind second-placed Newcastle and just a point ahead of Leeds United in fourth.
“Reece was a player who was wanted on loan by a number of clubs and we are absolutely delighted to have secured his services for the remainder of the season,” Reading chief executive Nigel Howe told the club’s official website.
“He is young, but hungry for success and I am sure he will prove an excellent addition to our squad and learn a lot during his spell under Jaap Stam at Reading.”
Oxford joins Tiago Ilori, Adrian Popa and Jordon Mutch in making the move to the Madejski Stadium this month.
