Celtic star Tierney prepared to keep Man Utd and Arsenal waiting
Kieran Tierney is prepared to keep the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal waiting on his signature after penning a six-year deal at Celtic.
The 20-year-old full-back is among the most highly-rated talents in British football, having starred for the reigning Scottish champions after emerging from their academy system.

His efforts have sparked talk of a big-money move to England, with Old Trafford and Emirates Stadium mooted as possible landing spots.
Tierney, though, is paying little attention to the transfer talk and is happy to remain at Parkhead for some time yet after committing his long-term future to Celtic.
He told the club’s official website in the wake of another eye-catching performance against Bayern Munich in the Champions League: “People are giving me compliments but I don’t like talking about my game too much.
“I just work hard every single day in training and see where it takes me, and if I can help the team then that is what I will do.
“My aspiration is to work hard every day, train hard and play on the Saturday and hopefully play well and see where it takes me.
“The club thought I was doing well enough so they have rewarded me with a new contract, and I’m delighted.
“I still had four years so there wouldn’t be much point if they weren’t going to extend my years. It’s great for both parties and everyone is delighted, and it got done so quickly, which is always great.”
While believing that he is in the right place at present for his ongoing development, Tierney also feels that he has the perfect manager in Brendan Rodgers.
He added: “I know I am still young and I have a long way to go and a lot of learning to do and I’m under the right manager to do that, and that’s why I am so happy.
“I have always had aspirations to play for Celtic and that’s what I am doing. I’m very happy here and that’s why I’ve signed a long-term deal.”
