Ferguson doesnt want Macheda to leave

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 16 - 2010

Italian Under-21 international Federico Macheda will not leave Manchester United on loan, said Sir Alex Ferguson, because “he’s cocky.” There were reports the teenager would be shipped out to gain more first team experience in the Premier League.

“He is one we have to keep a close eye on. He has a cocky arrogance about him. He will argue with players in a training session and he will compete for his ego. But he’s only 18, he’s not 19 until October and we keep forgetting that. He is an exceptional talent and he is tough. He does not get bullied in games. He gives as good as he gets. There was no chance of us ever letting him go on loan – he stays here. We need to keep an eye on him.”

Michael Carrick has no ideas of retiring from England team

Posted by blogdecor On August - 14 - 2010

Michael Carrick has assured that he is still very much interested in playing with England’s national side and has no ideas about retiring. The player did not get a chance to play at World Cup in South Africa where the team had performed poorly and he is not upset with this and wants to continue with international team.

Manchester United midfielder said ending at the losing side has not discouraged me and everyone have their own reasons and things will also change as you get older. But presently i am with Manchester United and performing well and we will have to wait to see what happens with national team.

Presently there were some issues about the player’s availability for England side due to an injury which sent him out for two weeks missing Community Shield against Chelsea as well as England’s game with Hungary. The players cleared the misunderstanding with Football Association saying the injury is almost recovered and he will be ready very soon.

Mascherano joining Barcelona?

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 13 - 2010

Barcelona are set to buy Argentina and Liverpool defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano. Masch was linked with joining european champions Inter, where he would reunite with his former coach Rafael Benitez, but now Barcelona also enter the “battle” for Mascherano.

Barcelona is offering Aliaksandr Hleb + 15m€ for Mascherano, but Liverpool is still considering the offer because they already have Kuyt and Joe Cole on the wings, so they dont really need A.Hleb.

Meanwhile Inter is preparing their offer for Mascherano. Since Balotelli is step away from re-uniting with his former coach Roberto Mancini at City, the money from his sell would be used to sign Mascherano. Mascherano said in public that he would love to play for a team like Inter and to re-unite with Rafa Benitez. In Inter squad there are also a lot of Argentinian players such as Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso, Walter Samuel, Diego Milito etc., so there is no doubt that Masch would feel very comfortable in Milano.
So if we look again, Inter is still in advantage.

Balotelli is a citizen!

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 13 - 2010

Mario Balotelli, we can now say former Inter player is practically already new Manchester City player. Inter and City agreed on a 28m€ fee, and we can expect Balotelli to pass medical test and sign with City in next few days.

Rafael Benitez didnt invite Balotelli to Trofeo Tim Cup, because he was away for almost a week (national team), so we can expect Balotelli in Manchester today. Balotelli should sign long term contract that would bring him around 4m€ per year.

Meanwhile Kolo Toure, Adebayor and Mancini already welcomed Super Mario to City and said that he will be one of the best players in Premier League.
