Mascherano nerazzuro?

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 4 - 2010

Il Corriere understands that Inter first made contact two weeks ago and Eduardo Macia only got back in touch yesterday evening. Macia was Rafael Benitez’s right-hand man at Liverpool and is being touted in the Italian media as the club’s de facto director of sport. It’s no secret that Macia was in Italy this week. He apparently dined with Fiorentina director of sport Pantaleo Corvino on Monday night to discuss the now failed transfer of Emiliano Insua.

He then reportedly held talks with Juventus director general Beppe Marotta regarding Christian Poulsen. Il Corriere claims Poulsen’s agent will be in Liverpool today to discuss personal terms. Macia then flew back to England, but a phone call was made perhaps to relay the message that negotiations can now start for Mascherano, as his replacement has been found.

Ancelotti brings Ramires

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 3 - 2010

As the BBC reports, the 23-year-old has already arrived at the medical examination. If Ramires passes the test, he will sign with Chelsea for a fee of 17m€. After Yossi Benayoun, this is second transfer for Chelsea this summer.

Ramires has started his career in Juinville, then he moved to Cruzeiro. Benfica then bought him from Cruzeiro for 7.5m€, and now one year later he is worth 17m€. He was also the part of Dunga’s squad in WC 2010.

Meanwhile Didier Drogba announced that he will not leave Stamford Bridge, Ancelotti also said that A.Cole is staying.  Does that mean that Chelsea is done with purchasing new  players for this year?

Krasic close to Juventus

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 3 - 2010

Juventus director Beppe Marotta is reportedly flying to Moscow to secure the services of Milos Krasic. The Serbian winger has been long linked to the Bianconeri and finally CSKA Moscow are set to let him go. At the weekend, CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Sluckij opted to leave Krasic out from the formation which faced Spartak in the derby.

According to reports, the gap between Juve’s offer and CSKA’s demands is incredibly close and the deal should be sealed for around £12m. Marotta will meet the Russian directors tomorrow and will be looking to successfully return to Turin. Krasic has many times reiterated his wish to join the Old Lady and turned down several offers from Turkey including a remunerative one from Fenerbahce.

Brazil and Argentina will play friendly match every year

Posted by blogdecor On August - 2 - 2010

Brazil and Argentina have made a deal which says the two teams will face each other in a friendly match every year. The governing bodies of both the countries have said two South American giants will play two matches each year with a domestic squad.

Julio Grondona head of AFA conducted a meeting with Ricardo Teixeira where the deal was made and the agreements were signed. As per reports, the matches will be played at Buenos Aires in Argentina and another match in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and both the teams will mainly consist of only domestic players.

Grondona added few kind words about both the teams, Brazil have always shown they are really the best in football and on the other side Argentina have faced many difficulties for sometimes now and still trying to overcome it. Both the countries should be combined forever in the form of football, he added.

Mourinho going for Thiago Silva and Carvalho?

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 2 - 2010

Rumours from Spain are saying that Mourinho is focusing on purchasing Thiago Silva or/and Ricardo Carvalho. Since Ancelotti told that Ashley Cole isn’t for sale, and since negotations with Maicon are still far from done deal, Mourinho is thinking to buy central defender, who would cost less than A.Cole or Maicon, and put Sergio Ramos in LB position, instead of purchasing Maicon/Cole and putting Ramos in CB position.

We will see how will things develop.
