Khedira signing for Real on monday?

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On July - 28 - 2010

Sami Khedira, the german international, has only one year left on his contract with Stuttgart, and then he can leave as a free agent. So it is obvious that Stuttgart will sell him, but they are saying that transfer will happen, if only Real pays the right price.

“We would like to extend Sami Khedira’s contract, but it is up to him. We will hold talks in the coming days. If we do sell Khedira, the income will be invested in new players, but not on a like-for-like replacement. We don’t need that – we have three players in our squad who can play in his position. Certainly there will be some more players arriving though,” said Fredi Bobic, former Borussia Dortmund player who is now the new sporting director of VFB Stuttgart.

Rumuors from Germany are saying that it’s just a matter of days, until Khedira will become part of Jose’s Mourinho squad.

Liverpool: “Mascherano can leave”

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On July - 27 - 2010

After a meeting with Roy Hodgson and Javier Mascherano on Monday, Liverpool announced that Javier Mascherano can leave, if club (Inter) offers the right amount of money to Liverpool.

“Last year, he was asked to stay on for one more year, he agreed, so now it is time for him to go. It was all very pleasant and it is now a question of the two clubs who are interested in him making an acceptable offer to Liverpool,” said Roy Hodgson after the meeting.

It looks like that its just a matter of time before Mascherano signs for Inter, and with this, Liverpool will lose first and maybe not last of their main players.

Marchetti: “Real forced to re-consider Maicon.”

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On July - 26 - 2010

Transfers expert of Sky Sports 24, Luca Marchetti, took time to speak briefly about the situation of Maicon: “Real Madrid is approaching an agreement with Inter, now the only thing missing is one with the player, but they are working on it. We know that Real was always focused on Maicon, with Mourinho pushing for his arrival, but meanwhile, the Blancos really tried to take a central defender instead. First was Vidic, but he renewed with Manchester United, then Chiellini, who renewed with Juventus, and finally Thiago Silva, who does not want to move. David Luiz remains, but he is not a big enough name for the ‘Casa Blanca’. Because of that, there was a new sharp tack…Maicon.”

The price is problem for Torres, as they are asking 50m pounds, and none of clubs who are interested are ready to offer that much, Chelsea and Man UTD are most interested clubs. Forlan will cost Liverpool €20m if they choose to sign him.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has been very confident in recent time, he has said that this Arsenal’s Premier League title would come to their name after six long years. Even though the team has not performed well Vermaelen expects they will reach the top spot in the next season.

In an interview, Vermaelen added ‘The team’s spirit is very good. There are many young players who are very aggressive and want to improve’. The Belgian defender who debut at the Emirates in the last season really feels that the Arsenal are all set to get the title in the upcoming season.

There is a lot of criticism about the Managers control over the team for a long period of 5 yrs which has affected the teams performance, but the Arsenal defender is not worried about all this critics. Arsenal have started well by playing 2 games and scored 7 goals against Sturm Graz and Barnet in the pre-season preparations for the next Premier League season.

Mancini wants Torres

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On July - 26 - 2010

While City is close to signing Balotelli, it is expected that Super Mario will sign this week, Mancini is already trying to get Fernando Torres from Liverpool. Torres is not in good relationship with the owners, so his transfer to City is not so unlikely.

Rumours are saying that Liverpool wants £60million for Torres, and this is not to much for City owners. With Torres as a central forward and with Tevez and Balotelli on the side, City’s attack would be one of the best in the world.

“Torres is one of the best strikers in Europe and is already playing in the Premier League for three years and knows it very well. But it depends on his situation – his price and whether he wants to come,” said Mancini.

City are still tracking Milner but if they manage to sign both Torres and Balotelli, Milner will probably stay in Aston Villa.
