Burdisso rejected Chelsea as well

Posted by David On August - 18 - 2010

Inter’s Nicolas Burdisso rejected another team, Anchelotti’s Chelsea, as he only want’s AS Roma. He already refused R. Mancini’s Manchester City (both clubs from Premiership leaded by Italian coaches).

What is more interesting is that he doesn’t want to play for Inter Milan either, with who he has a contract until the end of season 2010/11. His price tag is €10m.

Argentinian 29-years-old defender agent said: “He doesn’t want to go abroad, he’s only wish is to play for AS Roma. He doesn’t want to play for Inter either. We have two more weeks to find the solution.”

AS Roma is ready to pay €6,5m while his wage could be a problem too as they can’t offer him even the same which he has with Champions league winner. Last season he spent in this club as a player on loan.

Mascherano’s Future Decided on Thursday

Posted by Nenad Grujicic On August - 18 - 2010

An interesting prediction about the future of Javier Mascherano coming from none other than his home country of Argentina. South American newspaper Olé, summarizes the story of the Argentine captain’s future and how it will definitely be decided on Thursday. Why Thursday? Quite simply because on the 19th, Liverpool will face Trabzonspor in the Europa League, and if Mascherano were to feature in that match, it will inevitably take the midfielder off of the market. If he were to feature, Barcelona or Inter would not be able to use the Argentine during the group stages of the Champions League, making the investment far too great for only a “part-time” player. Perhaps we will no longer need to wait until the last day of the transfer window to determine the future of El Jefecito. Perhaps his future will be clear on Thursday.

Barcelona will come back says Pep Guardiola

Posted by blogdecor On August - 16 - 2010

Pep Guardiola has said that his team Barcelona is very much capable of coming back from the failure as the team lost to Sevilla 3-1 in Saturday’s first leg of the traditional Spanish season opener. Ibrahimovic gave the lead to Barcelona in the first half but could not compete with Luis Fabiano’s goal and Frederic Kanoute’s double goal for Sevilla.

Guardiola also said he is very much pleased from the team’s performance but we could not do well in the second half of the match but a tie was manageable. The team we faced is from Champions League and we did our level best to perform well.

The coach wants to check the fitness of the squad during the week before making any changes in the team for the future matches. We shall overcome the defeat we faced in the last game and this time we shall not disappoint our fans, he added.
