Two of the key men behind Inter Milan’s treble-winning 2009/10 campaign, captain Javier Zanetti and Diego Milito, have signed new contracts. Zanetti, 37, has agreed a new two-year deal while striker Milito, 31, has extended his arrangement by 12 months until 2014. Defender Maicon is also hoping to win a new deal after the Serie A club blocked his move to Real Madrid. Inter president Massimo Moratti declared that the Brazil international was off the transfer list following weeks of speculation that he would join former boss Jose Mourinho in Spain. Maicon’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, hinted that he felt the right-back should be rewarded for his loyalty.

Tata Football Academy has made a deal to tie-up with Sheffield United Football Club for giving training to TFA coaches. The deal was agreed and signed by both the parties on Tuesday aiming to share ideas to train and use other ideas to improve.

Sheffield United plans a program on fitness, coaching and to train the coaches for TFA for 12mths which will be select one coach during this time and will be sent  to the country in September. The selected coach will have an idea about technical aspect of the game and the fitness coach will teach about sports science, etc and the program consists of lessons on player’s recruitment, etc.

The program also contains an exchange visit for TFA coaches to academy of the English club for learning methods of coaching and few trainees will get a chance to train at Sheffield based club. Sathish Pillay from Tata said it is perfect chance or the TFA to develop and will also help the players in the academy.

Giorgio Chiellini has confessed that the Italian team is not at their best yet and the new coach has used most players from Juventus in the starting line-up in the match with Ivory Coast which the team lost 1-0.

The Italian defender wanted to overcome the World Cup’s bad run which also went very bad for other players in the team and were expecting to start the game with a win. He said, i was not satisfied by losing the game which we expected to win, the loss has disappointed the team again. Chelsea have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for portuguese defender Ricardo Carvalho. The move will see Carvalho reunited with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho after working with the defender at Stamford Bridge and Porto. Mourinho wanted Carvalho also while he was coaching Inter, but the club decided to go for Lucio instead of Carvalho and it looks like it was a good choice.

Carvalho’s future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of speculation for some time with Carvalho revealing earlier this summer he would jump at the chance of moving to El Santiago Bernabeu. His wish came true. The Portugal international will now travel to Spain to hold talks and undergo a medical at the Spanish giants before signing a two-year deal.

“Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho,” a Chelsea statement read.

Didier Drogba has completely denied about his chances of quitting Chelsea this season. According to reports there are other big teams like Manchester City who wanted to get the Chelsea striker but he wanted to continue with his present team. The player said every year there will be talks about this but people saw me in Chelsea shirt during my last match and this is how it will be this season.

Drogba wants to help his team to win after last season’s Premier League and FA Cup title. He expects Manchester City to run for the title and may reach top four places as the team spends more money to purchase good players.

Chelsea lost to Manchester United last Sunday which did not affect Drogba much as the pre-season having started late for Chelsea players because of World Cup. Last match was disappointing as the players are practicing from 10days, within 2-3weeks the team will perform well, he added.
