The Blues have finally confirmed Eden Hazard’s move from Lille, and the Belgian international finally signed his contract with the Stanford Bridge side.
Chelsea officially announced Hazard’s move today on their website, and the Belgian international will be able to show his amazing skills in the most powerful league in the world starting next season.
“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce we have agreed terms with Lille for the transfer of Eden Hazard.
“The 21-year-old Belgian international has agreed personal terms with the club and today passed a medical examination.”
Hazard spoke about his interest in joining The Blues, and declared that his choice to pick The Blues over United was the best one in his opinion.
“I’ve always said I wanted to play in England. There was a struggle between Chelsea and United but according to me Chelsea has the best project.”, said Hazard
“The team is young and I have a better chance to play there. At 21 Real Madrid or Barcelona would have been more difficult for me.
“If I play well enough at Chelsea I could win my place in the starting team. When they won the Champions League I told myself ‘why not Chelsea?’”
This is already the second signing for Chelsea as it seems that owner Roman Abramovic means business and wants to turn the Stanford Bridge side into the best club in the Premiership. The only question that remains is whether the next to join will be Hulk.
