United Make Their Second Signing Of The Summer

Manchester United have reportedly signed Chilean wonder boy Hooray Henriquez from Universidad de Chile for a sum of £3m.

The 18 year old netted eight goals for the Chilean club in ten matches and has caught the attention of scouts from top clubs across Europe. It is believed that United have been monitoring the young striker for over a year now and will complete the deal anytime soon.

Henriquez has been wanted by plenty clubs in Europe, but it seems like the talented South American is finally heading to Old Trafford. The transfer will however be completed only once the club can acquire a work permit for the player in UK, but citing him as a ‘special talent’, the Red Devils wanted to get him at any price. However, United are likely to ship the striker off to another European club on loan so as to get him more playing time which he is unlikely to get at Old Trafford at the present moment.

Just over a year back Ferguson signed Javier Hernandez from Mexico for a paltry sum of £10m and the player has since proved to be a top quality signing. It is to be seen if the manager has managed another masterstroke by signing this rising star of Chilean football.
