Yilmaz wanted by Arsenal

Arsenal target Burak Yilmaz is reportedly being offered a lucrative deal by his club Trabzonspor in a desperate attempt to keep him at the club.

Arsenal have been monitoring the prolific striker since January and have been linked with a move, but Trabzonspor are leaving no stones unturned in order to keep their prized asset at the club. Yilmaz scored 33 goals in 34 appearances last season for the Turkish side and have been identified as a primary target by the officials at Arsenal, after it seems that they lost out on the Lewandowski deal, who is close to moving to United according to reports..

The 26 year old has a buyout clause of £5m which could be easily met by Arsenal and hence the renewed offer to the striker includes a significant pay raise and a buy out clause of £7m. The player hasn’t yet put pen to paper on the new deal, and the interest from a host of clubs could keep him from doing so.

Recently crowned Europa league champions Atletico Madrid are also said to be in the hunt for the striker. With Robin van Persie’s future still in the dark, Arsene Wenger is desperate to find a replacement for the Dutch ace. Yilmaz is a natural goal scorer and could potentially be a good signing for the club given the low buy out clause in his present contract. Should Wenger fight to bring him to the Emirates Stadium?
