Arsene Wenger could be left cursing himself for leaving the deal involving Yann M’Vila for later as Barcelona have surprisingly developed an interest in the player and could emerge as the favorites to land the Rennes star.
Ever since the transfer window opened, it has been widely reported that M’Vila would be on top of Wenger’s wishlist , but the midfielder who sustained an injury in a friendly prior to the Euros seemed to deal a heavy blow to the prospects of the transfer. With Wenger taking his time ascertaining the true degree of the injury, Barcelona have evolved as a genuine contender to land the 21 year old.
One of the most promising stars of Ligue 1, M’Vila, has refused to comment on his future until after the Euros. It is believed that the promise of first team action and presence of French compatriots in the Gunner camp could mean that Arsenal can still sign the talented midfielder.
With Tito Vilanova’s interested in him after having given up on Thiago Silva, there could be a major transfer battle between the two interested parties after the Euros.
