Idiotic Rumor Or Shocking News Of Arsenal Selling Robin?

Arsenal captain and Netherlands striker Robin Van Persie is set to leave the Emirates this summer, as according to latest news launched by Mirror Football the club has agreed to sell him if the player’s valuation of £30m is met by any of his suitors.

Arsenal Officials Fear Robin Might Leave

The news comes as a major surprise as any decision of the striker’s future was expected to be taken once he returns from the Euro championships. His family is believed to be extremely happy and well settled in London and most of Van Persie’s career decisions are motivated by his family as we have witnessed in the past. There has been growing suspense over the 28 year old’s future at Arsenal after he turned down a £130k a week offer earlier this summer. It was reported that the Dutchman would consider the offers he has on the table after returning from Euros, but Arsenal’s officials are no longer willing to be held hostage to their captain’s whims and fancies. Arsene Wenger has already been looking on the market to sign a replacement for Premier League last edition’s top scorer and is close to signing Olivier Giroud from Montpellier for a sum of £10m.

The Professor is looking at more options to bolster his striking department and Robert Lewandowski, Joselu and Olivier Giroud have all been mooted as possible successors at the club. Manchester City and Juventus are extremely keen on signing the prolific Van Persie and would be willing to match Arsenal’s valuation, and if that be the case it wouldn’t be surprising to see the star striker leave London.

The striker’s departure can prove costly to the Londoners as he has been their top performer last season and would be difficult to replace immediately. They have already signed Lukas Podolski and will be looking to make a marquee signing from the money they receive through the striker’s sale.
