Krkic Rules Out Liverpool Move

Former Barcelona forward and currently Roma player, Bojan Krkic has ruled out a move to Liverpool amidst reports that the Spanish striker is close to agreeing a move to Anfield.

After moving to Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2011, Krkic struggled to make an immediate impact in the Serie A. The 21 year old, who has a mandatory buy back clause in his contract in 2013, managed only 7 goals for the Italian outfit the whole season. However, the young star isn’t keen on a move and wishes to stay at Roma and continue his growth as a player snubbing advances from Liverpool in the process.

“I will return to Rome because I think is the best option,” Krkic told Spanish radio station RAC1.

“I am very happy and satisfied with my first year there. Everything depends on the season I have this year.

“It will be the highlight of my career. I want to focus on Serie A, which is quite hard, and to do my best.”

Liverpool have a new manager Brendan Rodgers who is keen to bring in a few fresh faces to convert the Merseyside club into title contenders next season. Gylfi Sigurdsson has been mooted as a possible signing while several players might be shown through the exit door.
