PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti has cleared the air over their supposed interest in want away Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie ruling out any possibility of signing him.
Van Persie has been subject of interest of clubs around Europe after the Dutchman made public of his decision to not resign with Arsenal. Arsenal officials had a closed door meeting with the Gunner captain but failed to convince him into signing a contract extension with the club. The London club are however, expected to hold another round of talks with the 28 year old before leaving for their pre season tour.
PSG, who have been linked with many big money moves this summer, were reported to be interested in Van Persie but former Blues’ boss revealed that the Ligue 1 side do not have any interest in the player. He said: “Robin van Persie is not our target but I think there are a number of other clubs who are interested in him.”
Manchester United are the latest to have taken interest in the last season’s Golden Boot winner and reports reveal that Sir Alex Ferguson has landed in London to assess the situation. Manchester City and Juventus continue to track the highly sought after striker.
