Jose Callejon’s agent has put an end to speculation by ruling out any chances of the former Espanyol winger moving away from the Bernabeu this summer.
The 25 year old moved to Real Madrid last summer when he made his switch from fellow La Liga side Espanyol. However, Callejon struggled to make it to the first team on a regular basis and notched up only five appearances in the whole of last season. Liverpool, who are in the rebuilding phase, are looking for attacking talent to shore up their squad and new boss Brendon Rodgers is believed to be keen in the Real Madrid youth product.
Liverpool, who have also been linked with a move for Roma striker Fabio Borini, are desperate to make reinforcements to their squad to get back into the top four this season. However, Callejon’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon believes the La Liga champions would not be willing to sell off the promising winger this summer.
“There are several teams interested in signing him,” Quilon told Spanish news agency EFE.
“Real Madrid do not want to sell and have declared him non-transferrable. He is not going to leave the club this summer.
