Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder has urged his club to sign Bracelona winger and Dutch compatriot Ibrahim Afellay as Arsenal and Lille keep monitoring the situation.

Afellay spent most of last season recovering from a knee surgery, and with the Catalan club looking to strengthen their squad; they have decided to offload Afellay who is deemed surplus to their requirements at Camp Nou. Arsenal were considered to be the overwhelming favorites to sign the 26 year old this summer but with Inter in the fray the battle for Afellay could become interesting.
