Borussia Dortmund ace Robert Lewandowski’s agent has stated that it would take more than £13m for the interested clubs to sign him this summer.
The Polish striker spoke out of his desire to play in the Premier League recently which was played down by Dortmund boss Michael Zorc almost immediately. The 23 year old plundered 30 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions last season and has ever since been targeted by top Premier League clubs. Chelsea have reportedly had their £13m bid rejected by the club as they remain committed to keep him beyond this summer.
The player’s agent Mark Barthel told Goal.com that it would take a significant offer to prize away Lewandowski from Dortmund but chose not to comment on the speculation.
“Unofficially there are offers from top English clubs,” Barthel was quoted as saying.
“We respect the contract situation in Dortmund and don’t want to take part in speculation.
“A £13million transfer fee is not suitable.”
Manchester United and Arsenal are also closely following the striker and have made informal enquiries into the player’s availability. It is learnt that the club are currently holding talks with the player over a contract extension which is set to end in another two years.
