Manchester United’s prime transfer target, Brazilian wonderkid Lucas Moura has been compared to the club’s former superstar Cristiano Ronaldo by his Brazil national team-mate Thiago Silva.
After being rebuffed in their massive £30 million bid for the 19-year old magician, his club Sao Paulo are holding out for more for their prized asset, as they test United’s resolve and try to squeeze out as much money as possible out of Lucas’ sale.
The playmaker’s Brazilian team-mate Thiago Silva, who himself sealed a move to big-spending French outfit Paris Saint-Germain nearly a fortnight ago from Italian giants AC Milan, has hailed Lucas, likening him to a former Red Devil, current Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Speaking to the local press, Silva was all praises for young Lucas, as he said, ”I see many possibilities for Lucas to play in English football,”
“Despite being a short guy he is really strong and powerful. It is really difficult to stop him.
“In Manchester particularly, they play with two wingers – it used to be Cristiano Ronaldo and now it’s Nani. He has the same qualities as these players.”
