Arsenal’s manger Arsene Wenger has claimed that he intends to let young midfielder Jack Wilshere take his own time in his recovery, and not force him into action sooner.
The England international did not feature for the Gunners at all last season, as he limped off in Arsenal’s pre-season fixture against New York Red Bulls. He was hampered by recurring injuries to his ankle, which flared up during his recovery, pushing his return date further back by a few months.
Currently looking good on his road to recovery, Wenger intends to ease his young star into action, and does not wish to put any kind of pressure on him. Speaking to Arsenal.com, Wenger said, ”It is impossible to set a concrete deadline at the moment,”
“But it is all OK. He is as quick as we expected him to be. His ankle is good and his knee is good. There is no setback.
“It difficult to say ‘it will be this week in September or October’ when he is back in training. He has been out for a year and I don’t want to put any pressure on him.”
