Porto winger Hulk maintains that he has not signed any deal with Chelsea and has left his future ‘in God’s hands’ as rumor mills continue to churn out stories linking him to Stamford Bridge.
The 25 year old has been at the center of a draw out transfer saga as Chelsea keep their interest in the attacker alive despite Porto’s rigid stance over the fee. Porto President values the Brazilian star at £40m while the Londoners refuse to pay anything beyond £30m. Hulk, who is currently training with the national squad for the Olympics, has repeatedly expressed his desire to play for the Blues.
Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham are also believed to be interested in the highly rated attacker but the player remains inclined towards a move to the European champions. Speaking ahead of the London Games, Hulk says that he is no longer thinking about his future and is focused on winning the gold for his country.
“My future is in God’s hands. Regarding transfers, I let my agent handle it. I’m focused on the national team,” he told Lancenet.
Hulk is excited ahead of the Olympics and sounded determined to change Brazil’s unimpressive record at the showpiece event.
“Who doesn’t want to be Olympic champions? We know Brazil’s Olympic history, it would be our first title,” he added.
“We have a very united squad, we won’t fail, and we are all focused.
“I want to bring that medal not only to my city of Campina Grande but also to the state of Paraiba.”
