Arsenal legend and all time top goal scorer Thierry Henry has hinted at another loan stint at the Emirates this winter but admitted not having held talks with Arsene Wenger regarding the same.
The 34 year old French striker who now currently plies his trade in United States for the New York Red Bulls, admitted that he would want to return to Arsenal for another spell coming winter. Henry, who spent eight years at the London club before making his switch to Barcelona, made his presence felt for the Gunners during his short stint at the club last season.
And now, one of the finest strikers of the last decade has expressed desire to be involved in some coaching capacity at Arsenal after he decides to hang up his boots. His current contract with the NY Red Bulls runs for another 18 months and he wants to return to London once he is done with it.
“I would like to go back to England with Arsenal for sure,” Henry said when asked about a second loan stint with the Gunners.
“I wasn’t planning to go back to play last season. It was only because Gervinho and (Marouane) Chamakh went to the African Nations Cup.
“I was there to train and they asked me if I wanted to play. Who knows what might happen in the future?
“I’ve not yet spoken to Arsene (Wenger) about it so I don’t know what capacity I could go back in.
“Coaching does interest me but I don’t know what my talent is going to be after I have finished my career. But I will go back to Arsenal.
