Lucas Moura’s agent has admitted that the Sao Paolo attacker is keen on a move to Manchester United but it would require an ‘irrecusable’ offer to prize him away to Old Trafford.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed earlier that the club are currently negotiating with the Brazilian club over the transfer of Moura but denied having struck any deal whatsoever. The youngstar who is currently with the international team mates for the Olympics is focused on winning gold for his country and will leave decisions regarding his future till end of the London games.
The club has rejected an offer of £25.6m already from the Premier League heavyweights and are demanding £30m, a sum which United aren’t willing to meet. Moura’s agent Wagner Ribeiro claimed that he has been asked by the player to keep ‘negotiating’ with United but would be happy to stay if his demands aren’t met.
“The player is my boss, I always talk to him,” Ribeiro told Radio Globo.
“He determines what I do, my objectives. If he says that he doesn’t want to leave Sao Paulo, I won’t even listen to the offer.
“He told me to keep negotiating when I talked about Manchester United’s interest.
“It’s a great offer. If it was an irrecusable one, he would leave, but he is happy at Sao Paulo too. If he stays there, life goes on.”
