Porto Boss Snubs United And Chelsea

Porto boss Vitor Pereira has announced that the club has decided to keep hold of their star duo Hulk and Moutinho amid intense interest from Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and United.

While Chelsea have been rumored to be signing the Brazilian Hulk, Manchester United have recently developed an interest in the Portuguese midfielder Moutinho. Hulk, 25, has repeatedly expressed his urge to make his move to the European Champions but his fee has proved to be a stumbling block as the Blues refused to give in to Porto’s demands. The 25 year old was once reported as having completed the deal only for the player to decline any such news days later.

Moutinho has been a top performer for the Primeira Liga champions over the last couple of seasons and grabbed Sir Alex Ferguson’s attention courtesy assured performances for Portugal during the Euros. United also have had a bid rejected as the Portuguese club were holding out for a higher fee close to £30m.

However, Pereira has now ruled out letting his stars leave irrespective of how big the offers are from the Premier League duo.

“They are our players,” Pereira is quoted as saying in Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

“They are very valuable and enter into my plans to work, regardless of whether or not they receive important offers from England.
