Lyon President has revealed that London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham have not made any concrete offers as yet for the goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and hinted that a transfer is unlikely.
Arsene Wenger has been a long term admirer of the French custodian and a move for the Lyon star has been mooted. But their London rivals Tottenham seemed to have gained a stride over them as they established contact with the Ligue 1 side but their President Jean Michel-Aulas has confirmed that they haven’t followed up on their initial enquiry.
“Tottenham made contact through [Lloris’] agent but there has been no concrete offer since,” said Aulas.
“I don’t think they really want him, but we really want to keep him.
“He will stay at Lyon unless he absolutely wants to go. The best present we can give to the fans is finding a way to keep him. We will try to do just that.”
The French stopper has been a consistent performer in between the sticks for both club and country, which has seen him being considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. The 25-year old, who captained France in the Euro 2012, has also been reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.
