Samuele Longo has admitted that he would be open to a loan move away from Inter in order to get regular first team action.
The attacker recently made his official first team debut for the Nerazzurri, but is unlikely to get much playing time due to the stiff competition for places, and could therefore leave the club on a temporary basis.
“It is not up to me to decide where my future lies. I am just trying to constantly give my all and take advantage of the opportunities that come my way,” the 20-year-old stated to the official Inter website.
“And then should Inter decide to send me on loan I would be happy to go somewhere that I would perhaps find more space.”
Longo was then asked whether he could follow in the footsteps of Mattia Destro, who broke into the Italy team after leaving Inter on loan and secured a move to Roma earlier this summer.
“Will I follow in the footsteps of Destro? Perhaps I can imitate him in the sense of doing well like he did, maybe even better! I am working hard every day and I hope one day to become even better than him.”
Longo made his Italy Under-21 debut earlier this year and has been included in the squad that takes on Netherlands later this week.
