Roberto Soldado – Valencia
The 27-year-old has spent the past two seasons at the Mestalla scoring 36 goals in 67 apperances for Mauricio Pellegrino‘s side.
Soldado admitted he heard of Spurs interest in bringing him to White Hart Lane but revealed Los Che didn’t want to let him leave the club after they receieved an offer.
He told reporters: “I knew their interest on me; my representatives told me they made an offer to the club, but despite the economic situation, they didn’t want to sell me.”
The Spaniard, who has scored three goals in five appearances for the national side, is fully committed to Valencia and still feels it’s a ‘dream’ to play for them.
“I signed until 2017 I’m ready to complete my contract; that’s my dream and I hope it comes true. I want to play here, in my land’s team.”
Soldado is expected to be part of Pellegrino’s squad to take on Champions Real Madrid on Sunday in their La Liga opener.
