Manchester United winger Nani may not be at Old Trafford much longer with, Goal.com exclusively revealing that Juventus have joined Italian rivals AC Milan in the chase to sign the Portugal international.
The Rossoneri want to sign Nani for £12 million – some way short of the £17m Sir Alex Ferguson paid Sporting Lisbon for the player in 2007. Milan have struggled for form so far this season after a summer of high-profile departures and currently sit in mid-table.
Serie A champions, and current leaders, Juventus are also in the hunt, and they may prove a more exciting prospect for Nani. Antonio Conte’s side are on a mammoth unbeaten run and look set to seal another league crown at this early stage.
Meanwhile, Russian giants Zenit expressed an interest over the summer. The cash-rich Russians made a blockbusting move for Hulk and Axel Witsel in the summer and may look for another marquee signing as they look to become a European superpower.
Nani has made more than 200 appearances for the Old Trafford side in a five-year spell with club, but has frequently been in and out of the side, and has struggled to make as strong an impression as his Portuguese team-mate and former United hero Cristiano Ronaldo.
And with Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa coming to Manchester over the summer, Sir Alex looks like he could be ready to discard the Cape Verde-born player.
