'Inter do not have faith in Alvarez' – Colasanto

Ricky Alvarez’s days at Inter look numbered after his agent revealed that the Nerazzurri “do not have faith in him.”

Alvarez, 24, who moved to Italy from Velez Sarsfield in August 2011, was booed by the Inter supporters as he left the field 30 minutes into Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Genoa at San Siro suffering yet another injury.

“I certainly did not expect these difficulties, because he arrived in Italy at the right time,” his agent Filippo Colasanto told Il Sussidiario.

“He wasn’t too young or too old and he certainly has quality. Perhaps the club does not have faith in him, but it must also be said Inter are a demanding side.”

The midfielder, who has four caps for Argentina, signed for Inter for €10 million after impressing in Sarsfield’s run to the semi-finals of the 2011 Copa Libertadores.

Inter beat off competition from Arsenal for the player’s signature and Alvarez has been linked with a move to River Plate and Marseille in recent weeks.
