QPR boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that the club are close to announcing deals for Marseille striker Loic Remy and Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila
Remy was initially expected to join the R’s Premier Legaue rivals Newcastle, but it appears that the west London club managed to secure his services with a late move for the France international, with Redknapp claiming that the deal is completed.
In addition, the former Spurs manager also confirmed that he expects to complete the signing of Remy’s international team-mate M’Vila. The 22 year-old is set to arrive at Loftus Road from French side Rennes.
The 65-year-old told BBC 5 Live “Loic Remy has had a medical and I think that’s all sorted now.” and on the imminent arrival of his compatriot M’Vila he said “the deal looks okay.”
However, the 65-year-old explained that the club had been initially unsuccessful in their pursuit of West brom forward Peter Odemwingie.
“We made an offer for [Peter] Odemwingie, he’s a good player, but it was turned down.”
