Esporte Interativo in Brazil reports that Kaka could join Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, after his move to AC Milan seemingly fell through. Lassana Diarra, Kaka’s former team-mate at Santiago Bernabeu, is reported to be helping with negotiations.

Some widespread reports in the Spanish media this evening claim that Real Madrid could be about to sign Sevilla keeper Diego Lopez on a six-month loan deal. The Liga champions are in need of another man between the sticks after Iker Casillas was ruled out for up to 12 weeks following surgery on his hand earlier today – although, judging by the image below, at least one of his thumbs still works OK…
