The veteran goalkeeper says he feels lucky to represent the Catalan giants after prolonging his stat at Camp Nou by another year
Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Pinto has put pen to paper a new contract, which binds him to the club until 2014.
The 37-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but he has elected to prolong his stay at Camp Nou for another 12 months at least.
“I feel fortunate to make history with this wonderful team,” he was quoted as saying on the clubs’ official website.
Pinto joined the Blaugrana from Celta Vigo on loan in January 2008, and made his switch permanent the following summer.
He has had 15 appearances in La Liga for the Catalans since his arrival at the club.
