The 23-year-old Viola star is a long-term target for the Premier League champions after failing with a summer move, while the Sassuolo striker has impressed in Serie B this season
Fiorentina defensive coach Angelo Gregucci has confirmed Manchester City are interested in Stevan Jovetic and Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi.
Goal.com exclusively revealed last summer that the Premier League champions had failed in a bid for the 23-year-old during August – with Patrick Vieira, the club’s football development executive, scouting the forward.
Domenico has notched seven goals in 15 Serie B starts this term, and Gregucci has revealed that City are also monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation.
“It seems clear to me that not only the City but many clubs like Jovetic, because he is one of the most talented players on the European scene,” Gregucci told Radio Toscana.
“[Berardi] has good qualities. He’s young, we must see how he will grow. City is always attentive to young world talents and he is among them.”
Jovetic, who has scored 11 times in 22 league outings this season, is also reportedly attracting interest from Serie A rivals Juventus, and revealed in December that he was unsure over the longevity of his stay with the Viola.
