The defensive midfielder has been tipped to move to the Vicente Calderon at the end of the current campaign – even though he still has two years left on his contract
Jeremy Toulalan has dismissed a report linking him with Atletico Madrid, revealing that he could not be happier at Malaga.
The France international still has two years to run on his current contract with los Boquerones and has zero interest in swapping the Rosaleda for the Vicente Calderon.
“It would be difficult to be happier than I am here,” Toulalan told Le Progres. “I’m really happy and, at the moment, the club is not is not talking about a possible departure.
“Even if we do discuss it, we would do so quietly.”
Toulalan, who has been capped 36 times by his country, joined Malaga from Olympique Lyonnais in 2011 and has played a key role in this season’s remarkable run to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with their first-leg clash with Borussia Dortmund scheduled for Wednesday evening.
