Hummels open to Barcelona summer switch

The Germany international is happy with life at his current club but would be interested in a move to Camp Nou if the Catalans were to make an approach

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has admitted that an offer from Barcelona could prove to be too tempting to turn down this summer.

The Blaugrana are keen to add some fresh blood to their defence at the end of this season and they supposedly see the Germany international as the ideal addition to their roster.

Hummels has so far insisted that he is happy to stay at BVB for the foreseeable future but he has now revealed that he would be open to a move to Barcelona.

“My father and I would turn down about 99.9 per cent of all the clubs in the world if they approached us,” Hummels told Sport Bild.

“However, Barcelona are one out of two or three teams that could make me consider a summer transfer.”

The 24-year-old currently has a contract with Dortmund until June 2017.
