As Goal.com exclusively revealed earlier this week, Juventus are considering making a move for the Sweden international, who only moved to France last summer
Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti believes star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will still be at the Parc des Princes next season.
Ibrahimovic only arrived in the French capital last summer but, as Goal.com exclusively revealed earlier this week, Juventus are interested in bringing the Sweden international back to Turin.
The forward’s agent, Mino Raiola, has done little to quell the mounting speculation with his recent comments on his client’s future but Ancelotti is confident that Ibrahimovic will stay put.
“I think that he will still be there next year,” the former AC Milan coach told reporters on Saturday.
“The people that are talking about all of this don’t know anything about PSG’s project. It’s only been a year since the Qatar Investment Authority took over the club and we will improve further in every regard.”
Ancelotti was clearly perturbed by the line of questioning and his mood only worsened after he was asked if the presence of David Beckham’s children at training this week had been an unwelcome distraction.
“I’d rather see the kids here than the press,” the Italian countered curtly.
PSG are currently eight points clear of second-placed Lyon at the summit of Ligue 1 but they can extend their advantage with a win over Nice on Sunday night.
