The promising youngster has caught the attention of the 2010 Champions League winners and could be on his way to Europe this summer
Inter are considering making a move for Estudiantes youngster Joaquin Correa in the summer transfer window as they are looking to rejuvenate their squad ahead of next season, Goal.com can reveal.
The Giuseppe Meazza side have been keeping tabs on the 18-year-old midfielder for quite a while and had a loan offer with an option to buy turned down in the January transfer window.
Inter have since continued to monitor Correa’s development, though, and could table another bid ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
Estudiantes have set a €2 million asking price for Correa, but Inter are reluctant to meet the Argentine outfit’s valuation of the player at this point.
Nevertheless, Andrea Stramaccioni’s side face stiff competition in the race for Correa’s signature as Parma are closely monitoring the midfielder’s progress, too, and could offer the youngster a better chance at regular first-team action than Inter.
Correa is held in high regard at Estudiantes as they see him as the natural heir to Juan Veron, even though he has been unable to secure a regular slot in the first team at the La Plata side.
