The 27-year-old Cameroon star has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs, including Valencia, but it appears the Turkish outfit are now favourites to sign him
The Galatasaray board of directors have announced to the Stock Market that they have started negotiating with Lille over the transfer of defender Aurelien Chedjou at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has been with the French side since 2007, after enjoying spells at Pau, Auxerre and Rouen prior to his move to the Stade Lille-Metropole, and he has become an integral part of les Dogues’ squad over the last few years.
Chedjou has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months, with clubs including Liverpool, Fenerbahce, Valencia, Marseille and Monaco all linked with the Cameroon international. The Turkish champions have always led the way, however, and now look favourites to get their man.
Chedjou, whose contract runs out in 2016, has made over 200 appearances for Lille, scoring 15 goals in the process.
