The club’s supremo is hoping to avoid making another wrong turn and has vowed to reflect on the next target
Inter president Massimo Moratti has declared he will not hasten the decision to appoint a successor to Leonardo.
The Italian club are currently in the market for a new coach as Leonardo is poised to take up a position as sporting director at Paris Saint-Germain.
After watching their approaches for Marcelo Bielsa, Sinisa Mihajlovic and, most recently, Andre Villas-Boas be rebuffed, Inter seem to be in a tough situation, but Moratti has indicated he will not make a decision without careful consideration.
“We have time to make an important choice for Inter,” Moratti told Sky Sport 24. “We were interested in Villas-Boas but we have no intention of paying his release clause.”
Questioned about Fiorentina boss Mihajlovic, Moratti refused to rule the Serbian out completely: “I have not bothered coaches under a contract. He is a favourite, but there will be time to think about it.”
