The Colombian tweeted that he has completed a “dream come true” transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, although he hastily deleted the message without explanation
Monaco striker Radamel Falcao confirmed that he is joining Real Madrid via Twitter, potentially ending speculation about his future.
The Colombian triggered suggestions he was imminetly leaving Stade Louis II when he was inexplicably left out of Leonardo Jardim’s matchday squad for their 1-1 draw with Lille on Saturday.
Reports were rife about where the ex-Atletico Madrid man might be departing Ligue 1 for, with Manchester City, Juventus, Arsenal and Real Madrid all named as contenders in the chase for the 28-year-old.
But Falcao looked like he had ended speculation over his future by declaring his loyalties to Carlo Ancelotti’s men – branding the move to the Santiago Bernabeu a “dream come true”.
Although he hastily deleted the tweet for unknown reasons, the striker’s confirmation was there for the world to see and he is yet to explain the tweet or its deletion.

Monaco are yet to comment about whether Falcao is leaving the club after just a single full season with the club, while Real Madrid have similarly kept quiet on the rumours regarding the forward.
