The Romanian centre-back has not featured for Spurs since a disastrous performance against Besiktas in the Europa League and the Serie A champions have made an initial approach

Juventus have made enquiries for out-of-favour Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches, Goal has learned.
The Serie A champions, working through trusted third parties, have approached Spurs over the Romanian centre-back in recent weeks and could launch a loan bid in January.
The Romanian only moved to White Hart Lane from Steaua Bucharest in August 2013 and made 17 Premier League appearances in an injury-hit campaign as Spurs dismissed Andre Villas-Boas in December and Tim Sherwood in May.
And the 25-year-old has struggled for minutes under Mauricio Pochettino, playing just twice in the league and twice in the Europa League, his last appearance a disastrous display against Besiktas in which he gave away a late penalty.
Pochettino made Younes Kaboul his captain this summer and also brought in Federico Fazio from Sevilla after missing out on Villarreal’s Mateo Musacchio, meaning that Chiriches’s time in north London appears to be coming to an end.
Juve have already made contact regarding their interest but any move would hinge on whether they qualify for the Champions League knockout stages. Massimiliano Allegri’s men currently sit third in Group A, level on points with Olympiakos and three behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
Chiriches was linked with a move to Roma in the summer after Mehdi Benatia joined Bayern Munich, while reports in the English press on Thursday claimed that Inter are also interested in the Romanian.
The Bianconeri would look for an option to buy in any loan agreement but would be unwilling to spend more than €8 million, given that 20-year-old prospect Daniele Rugani will return from his spell at Empoli ahead of next season.
