The Argentina international has enjoyed a superb season at the Etihad Stadium and has been linked with Real Madrid, but the Chilean has rubbished talk of him leaving the club
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists that Sergio Aguero is not for sale, and has hailed the ability of the Argentina international.
Aguero has scored 31 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions thus far this season, and has subsequently been linked with a potential move to Real Madrid.
Pellegrini, though, says that City have no intention of allowing the 26-year-old to leave the Etihad Stadium, and says he has become one of the elite players in the world.
“We are not a selling team,” he told reporters. “Sergio is very happy here.
“I think he is one of the top five players in the world. He’s improved.”
Aguero was not included in this season’s PFA Premier League Team of the Year, with Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Tottenham’s Harry Kane chosen ahead of the prolific City forward, and Pellegrini has expressed his surprise at the snub.
“I don’t know the way they choose the PFA team, so I can’t talk about it,” he added. “All I can say is that Kun must be in every best team.”
