Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal for Clinton N’Jie, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed.

Goal reported on Monday that Spurs are on the verge on wrapping up a £10.6 million deal for the 21-year-old forward, and are also in talks with Manchester United over Javier Hernandez and West Brom regarding a move for Saido Berahino.

Aulas has revealed that Spurs are on the verge on completing the deal but is keen to sign a replacement before sanctioning the transfer.

“We are close to an agreement but there’s no urgency for us,” the Lyon president told RMC.

“We want to complete our own signings first, but I thank [Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy to have made an offer that we now regard as consistent.”
