The Italian midfielder has been linked with a return to Serie A, but his representative has made it clear he is happy at his current club
Bryan Cristante’s agent Giuseppe Riso has insisted that the promising midfielder is not thinking about leaving Benfica amid strong interest from Inter.
The 20-year-old joined Benfica from Milan in the summer of 2014, but has so far been unable to secure regular first-team action in Lisbon.
Cristante has therefore been linked with a move away from the Portuguese champions again and Inter are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
Nevertheless, his representative has downplayed suggestions that a transfer is on the cards this month.
“A number of clubs have made enquiries,” Riso was quoted as saying by Record.
“But there is nothing official for now. Bryan still has a contract with Benfica for four years and is happy in Lisbon.
“I would rather not say much more about speculation.”
Cristante made five league appearances for Benfica in 2014-15, starting on just one occasion.
